While students are receiving treatment at Good Shepherd Services we strongly encourage our parents and guardians to actively participate in all aspects of family programming. Your support and presence gives your child that extra special assistance to be successful. Good Shepherd Services offers daily family contact through visiting and phone calls, weekly meetings with therapists and a variety of planned family activities occurring at least two or three times a month. Download Visitation Schedule and Guidelines to view a complete schedule of when you can visit your child.
Download our JANUARY 2017 calendar of Good Shepherd Services events to find out about family cookouts, family dinners, and other fun activities to share with your child. The calendar also provides dates and times for supportive workshops for our parents that include such topics as dealing with substance abuse, trauma, violent and aggressive behaviors and understanding behavioral health diagnoses. Last but not least, our monthly family meetings also provide you with information about unit routines, school programming and important contacts to assist you with any questions you might have for us. Join us for our GAME NIGHT 2017 event on January 10th or our SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE 2017 on January 26th!
Make sure to RSVP by contacting Teresa Jones at email@example.com or 410-247-2770, ext. 295. Visit this web page often for more information on this and other upcoming events!

Good Shepherd Services 2016 Holidays
All students have the opportunity to come to the Holiday Store to pick out items for family members, CASA workers and whomever they feel support them while they are at Good Shepherd Services. Each student’s items are bagged with tissue paper. When students go on an off campus visit or parents visit here at the center during our Family Christmas Dinner or a regular visit, students are given their bag to present to the family.
Items and money are donated by Good Shepherd staff and people within the community. We receive items such purses, household items, sports tee shirts, gloves, tire covers, slippers, PJ’s, scarves and much, much, more. We appreciate a variety of items so that students have great choices when arriving at the store.
Family Christmas Dinner
On December 22, 2016 families were invites to a delicious traditional Christmas Dinner at Good Shepherd Services from 6-7:30 p.m. This year families had dinner and were presented with gift from their child from the Holiday Store. In addition, the School Choir presented a wonderful collection of Christmas songs. They were accompanies by the drums, keyboard and trumpet, what a treat!
Santa and his elves went to each unit and gave each student a stocking with his/her name on it. Each student got a picture with Santa and then each unit gathers together for a group photo with Old Saint Nick. How much fun is that?!
You can tell that the student truly enjoy this event from the big smiles on their faces. Some of them try to figure out who Santa really is and others just look forward to their picture being taken with Santa or the elves!
