Manager of Addiction Services

Description: LCSW-C level social worker to implement and manage a new evidenced based treatment program for our youth struggling with addiction recovery and mental-health challenges. The Manager of Addiction Services will be directly responsible for implementing and monitoring the co-occurring disorder treatment program for the students within the RTC program with the potential for growth into provision in outpatient setting.
Position: Full time.
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work, current LCSW-C Licensure by the MD Board of Social Work Examiners. Current Chemical Dependency Professional Credential (CCDC Accepted, CCDP Preferred); Evidence-based program implementation experience preferred; evening hours and occasional weekend hours are required.

Residential Counselor

Description: The Residential Counselor coordinates the therapeutic program and treatment plan for each student. Guides and assists the students in meeting their treatment goals.  Creates a therapeutic milieu under the direction of the Residential Coordinator.
Position: Full time.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences or related field. Additional experience may be substituted for education. At least one year related experience in a residential treatment setting required with education, or at least six years of experience with education.

Residential Night Assistant

Description: The Residential Night Assistant (RNA) is responsible for the well-being and supervision of students on a unit(s) as assigned. Supervision may rotate among the various residential units and may include special supervision based on agency needs. The RNA is responsible for the safety of the unit, compliance with safety regulations, and through vigilant observation maintains an environment that provides security and warmth for the students. Documentation is maintained throughout the shift on regular intervals to provide day shift staff with necessary treatment information, and the night assistant is responsible to contact the nurse on duty and support staff for emergency situations.
Position: Full time.

Residential Unit Supervisor

Description: The Residential Unit Supervisor facilitates unit-based therapeutic programming and implementation of the treatment plan for each student by ensuring the unit provides a therapeutic and safe milieu. Provides day-to-day oversight and supervision to the residential staff as well as ensuring the provision of training and professional development. In conjunction with other staff members, develops the therapeutic milieu experience for individual students, the group, and the facility-wide environment.
Position: Full time.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related field required. 10 years of direct care services to adolescents may be accepted in lieu of degree. Minimum of five years providing direct care services to adolescents in a residential environment preferred. Minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred.

Senior Residential Counselor

Description: The Sr. Residential Counselor facilitates students in meeting the goals of their treatment plans by creating a nurturing, supportive and safe environment. Serves as a member of the treatment team. Responsible for the direct supervision of students including the use of behavior management models. Facilitates the achievement of students’ treatment goals, socialization skills with peers and appropriate communication skills with authority figures.
Position: Full time.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences or related field. At least seven years in a residential treatment setting preferred. At least three years supervisory experience preferred.

Teacher Assistant

Description: The Teacher Assistant provides assistance to classroom teachers in the supervision of students in the classroom, time out, or study. Utilizes appropriate behavior management techniques (TCI/BIST) to establish an environment in the classroom conducive to learning and utilizes intervention/de-escalation techniques as appropriate. The Teacher Assistant responds to crisis situations that occur in the school and residential settings. Attends assigned morning goals group and completes attendance report. Monitors school hallways and provides 1:1 supervision of students when necessary. Teach secondary school subjects to students with emotional/learning difficulties according to the curriculum developed by the Good Shepherd School during short or long term absences of regular teacher. Prepare lessons to meet individualized needs of students, incorporating specific strategies to meet IEP requirements. Assists with student transitions in the morning and serves as residential counselor when school is not in session.
Position: Full time.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 1 year of education experience required. Experience with adolescents is strongly preferred.
