Good Shepherd Services : Donate

Whether once a month or once a year, unrestricted contributions give us the flexibility to use funds where the need is greatest. Why not observe a birthday, anniversary or some other milestone by making a Tribute or Memorial gift to Good Shepherd Services?

Good Shepherd Services is participating in the #GivingTuesday campaign, which brings the nonprofit community together to raise awareness about the importance of supporting our valuable mission and work. Our goal for this #GivingTuesday is to raise funds to provide our youth with therapeutic recreation activities during school, after school and on the weekends. Since most of our students have severe emotionaland learning disabilities, it is important that they explore innovative and experimental ways to help them learn and communicate while also having fun. One of the exciting recreational activities that we are currently doing is therapeutic drumming and storytelling workshops where students learn how to communicate their thoughts and feelings through performance art.

Help Grow Our Good Shepherd Foundation

You can also help grow our Good Shepherd Foundation, which is important to sustain our organization through changing times. With this added stability comes an enhanced ability to achieve the Good Shepherd mission of helping teens achieve a successful and productive life for themselves.

Donate Appreciated Assets

Donating appreciated assets — like stocks or mutual funds— is a simple, effective, and tax-wise way to support Good Shepherd Services. Your gift may be made by either certificate or electronic transfer and can be put to immediate use. In addition, by giving stock or mutual funds, you may take full advantage of any charitable contribution deduction (when you itemize) and avoid capital gains tax. For more information, contact Diana Ellis, Development Director, at 410-247-2770, ext. 421.

Good Shepherd Wish List

Both the Center and the School maintain a Wish List for items that enhance our programs. Caring for our children requires a lot of love, money, and supplies.
